Our client is a boutique accounting firm, located at the northern end of the Gold Coast, established nearly a decade ago and conveniently located across a tram stop.
Led by their partner, a trusted figure in the local accounting community, they offer a close-knit, collaborative culture where team members manage their own client portfolios.
The firm combines traditional client care with advanced technology, specialising in strategic support for business owners in transport, pharmacy and construction.
Key services include tax compliance, virtual CFO roles, advisory, bookkeeping and strategic planning.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of long-term clients across transport, pharmacy and construction sectors.
You will lead a small, collaborative team and deliver high-quality, strategic financial services.
You are going to work closely with the firm's well-respected founder, offering a trusted, tech-savvy environment that values innovation, traditional service and community involvement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage diverse client portfolios in transport, pharmacy and constructionLead and support a small team to meet deadlines and maintain qualityBuild and maintain strong client relationships, offering strategic advice.Deliver high-level financial projects for business growth and planningProvide virtual CFO services, risk management and succession planningUse advanced technology for real-time financial insightsEnsure quality control and timely completion of client workContribute to community engagement and firm's local presence EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED At least 5+ years' Australian public practice experienceHold a relevant degree and completed CPA/CA qualificationsStrong team player with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learnExperienced in managing offshore teams and resolving client business/tax challengesSkilled in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysisDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and strategic thinking skills THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Manages client portfolios and high-level projects with a supportive teamUses advanced technology for innovative solutions and insightsGrows skills with challenging work and study/exam leaveEnjoys a prime Gold Coast location and work/life balanceReceives a competitive salary and career growth opportunities Please note: This job is based in Australia therefore, only candidates who are permanent residents or citizens of Australia will be considered.
