Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel, Construction/Development and Hotels
We represent the Australian subsidiary of an internationally headquartered diversified property development, construction, hotels and hospitality company with offices and projects nationally.
As an upshot of growth, the Australian business is looking for a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel to be based in their Melbourne headquarters.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the group of companies and be focused on providing commercially focused legal advice principally related to property development and construction projects, yet also including advice relating to hotel management, disputes and ad hoc advice on myriad matters.
It is a fast-paced environment that will allow you access to some of Australia's truly most impressive multi-purpose commercial, residential, retail and hospitality projects.
You will be the most senior lawyer in Australia, reporting to the directors of the relevant businesses with a dotted line to the Legal team based internationally.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will most likely have 5+ years' post admission experience in construction and/or property development projects. Contract drafting experience is mandatory.
In addition, you will have a commercial approach, know how to manage a range of stakeholders and be looking to become an instrumental member of the wider business.
