The Team
Our Employment & Safety team is known for producing high quality advice and delivering exceptional client service.
The team handles claims across all areas of employment law, for both insurers and direct clients.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Employment & Safety team in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth.
This position requires an enthusiastic and driven professional with strong attention to detail and a focus on client service.
There will also be the potential to work on a broader range of matters.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the work you will be undertaking will involve:
Advising and representing clients in respect to employment related claims, including but not limited to unfair dismissal, general protections, and discrimination;Attending conciliation conferences and appearing in the Fair Work Commission and relevant tribunals;Advising clients on employment terms and conditions (including enterprise agreements, modern awards, and other legislative entitlements);Advising clients on performance management; andReviewing and drafting settlement agreements, contracts of employment, and policies and procedures.The Successful Candidate
This role will suit a candidate with the following:
5+ years' PAE;Advocacy experience (preferred);Ability to manage your own file load;Ability to build strong client relationships with a focus on client service;Collaborative and pragmatic approach.The Benefits
