Lifestyle friendly 8/6 Roster FIFO from Perth to Leonora Competitive remuneration and bonuses A great opportunity exists for an experienced Safety Advisor to join the Genesis Mining Services team as part of the Leonora Operations.
Our Safety Advisor will be at the forefront of our open pit operations in Leonora, who enjoys working alongside like-minded professionals in a growing team and company.
Someone who is keen to get involved with a project start-up and share their knowledge.
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Training Manager, you will provide technical advice and coaching to employees, leaders, and contractor personnel in the implementation and management of safety and training systems across Leonora Operations.
The role also offers an opportunity to get involved with establishing and implementing a positive Health & Safety culture amongst our employees and contractors.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie, or residential in Leonora and Laverton.
The opportunity: Providing workplace health and safety related advice Support the operational critical risk management process Training and promotion of the health and safety systems and processes Incident Reporting and Investigation Supporting the development and roll out of Health and Safety initiatives Conducting in-field safety coaching through quality safety interactions and field leadership Support and assist in the management of return-to-work programs needed by the workforce Screen on site fitness to work suitability and testing including Drug and Alcohol screening What you can expect from us: A caring and supportive culture Professional and positive team environments on site, and at all facilities A 'grow our own' approach with a preference to develop and promote internally Access to professional development activities and educational assistance Competitive salary and options for salary sacrificing Air-conditioned, comfortable accommodation facilities with private ensuite Onsite gym, recreational facilities, and BBQ areas We would love to hear from you if you have:
Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the mining industry Minimum of Certificate IV: Health & Safety ICAM Lead Investigator (or equivalent) Drug & Alcohol – Authorised Tester Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent understanding of WHS Act and Regulations Does this sound like you?
