About your potential new position:
Glencore is seeking a Senior Advisor - Environmental Approvals for a 14-month fixed term to cover one of our team on leave. This is a great opportunity to make your mark in the execution of regulatory approvals and planning on a high profile project at our historic Mount Isa Mines.
Reporting to the Principal - Environmental Approvals and Tenure, your key role will be as environmental lead on pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for a business critical open cut mine expansion project and managing associated approvals.
You will engage with technical professionals, be responsible for managing project environmental risks, meeting study requirements as per Glencore's standards and guidelines and applicable legislation. You will bring technical experience and complex problem-solving skills, and can collaborate well with others to build positive relationships. You are adaptable, providing guidance in a fluid environment.
In this role you will: Our expectations of your qualifications, skills and experience: Location: You can be based in Brisbane or Mount Isa.
