We are currently recruiting for a Head of Data, Analytics, and AI on behalf of a forward-thinking Health/Tech organisation, seeking a talented individual to play a critical role in leveraging data-driven insights to drive innovation, enhance decision-making, and improve outcomes.We are open to candidates in multiple locations across Australia, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact across the organisation. The candidate must meet the requirements to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Baseline Security Clearance. Australian citizenship is essential for this application.What's the opportunity?As the Head of Data, Analytics, and AI, you will lead and shape the company's data and AI capabilities. By establishing a Platform-as-a-Service operating model and overseeing the development and management of the organisation's data, analytics, and AI platforms, you will play a pivotal role in driving business transformation, improving decision-making, and enhancing healthcare outcomes.Key accountabilities and outcomes:Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Set clear goals and promote continuous improvement and effective communication within the team.Manage and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, ensuring a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.Strategic direction:Provide strategic direction in the development and management of the organisation's data and analytics platform, aligning with business objectives to drive innovation and business value.Serve as a thought leader in data analytics and insights, advising both the business and team on best practices and emerging technologies.Platform development and innovation:Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, reliable data and analytics platforms to meet current and future needs.Drive the development of data products, solutions, and delivery innovations, ensuring effective project delivery and disseminating best practices in data ownership.Data governance and management:Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Oversee the acquisition, integration, and management of data from both internal and external sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability for analysis.Define and execute the organisation's analytics strategy, identifying opportunities for advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to generate insights and drive business outcomes.Develop and deliver business intelligence solutions, dashboards, and reports to provide actionable insights and support decision-making across the organisation.Vendor and stakeholder engagement:Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring alignment with business objectives, SLAs, and agreed metrics.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their data and analytics needs, delivering solutions that meet their requirements and drive organisational-wide data-informed decision-making.Delivery and quality assurance:Manage delivery timelines and resources to ensure optimal project outcomes.Promote quality and consistency in process standards, ensuring the adoption of industry best practices and methodologies.Embed a culture of continuous improvement by establishing frameworks for integration, quality assurance, monitoring, and testing.Experience and Qualifications:Experience in managing a data platform for a product organisation, with a focus on scalable solutions.Experience in providing a Platform-as-a-Service model to internal development teams.Proven track record in managing offshore vendors, evaluating performance, and maintaining effective relationships.Experience in leading teams of 15+ members and managing people leaders.Experience with implementing Big Data platforms.Strong knowledge of health data regulations, ensuring compliance and security.A minimum of undergraduate qualifications in computing or a related field.Why Join?You'll be supported by a collaborative environment that values innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
