Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion – it's a place where you can grow, belong and thrive.Your day at NTT DATAThe Platform (Cloud) Technical Lead is an advanced engineering role involved in highly complex environments for installation, configuration and fault management.
They provide technical support to clients.
This includes remotely supporting clients within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to install and configure software and hardware, resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis and adhere to any related processes such as change management.This role is also required to provide technical leadership to the team supporting client installations.What you'll be doingKey Responsibilities :Interact with clients on site to meet more complex requirements of a solution.Escalate unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties.Delegate lower complexity tasks to engineers and technicians.Assume responsibility for the co-ordination of the activities of the engineers, in line with performance targets, leading by example and monitoring the quality of engineer's and technician's work when required.Write reports and proposals and complete and maintain project documentation.Act as coach and mentor to more junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.Included in complex design work, with input to the design expected.Expected to take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization.Maintain and develop Infrastructure as Code for a range of different systems.Support Java applications running in a Linux environment.Performance Tuning.Work in a diverse team across a wide range of different technologies and systems.Automate processes and build self-service capabilities.Deliver and build services and technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Azure.Lead and co-ordinate cloud development activities between relevant stakeholders and technical resources – both internal and external.Periodically collaborate to develop and implement operational improvements.Leverage experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency's cloud services.
ITQSB certification highly desirable.Maintain skills and contemporary practice in the applicable technology stack.Required Experience :Across the business, the standout common characteristics across our teams is that we're approachable, supportive and have a can-do attitude.
In addition to this, you will be a good fit for the role if you bring :Mandatory Skills / experience :Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of Cloud Implementations, preferably Microsoft Azure PROTECTED cloud environments.ElasticSearch experience.Troubleshooting Java applications in a Linux environment or Java Development experience.Experience creating & maintaining automated deployments.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (preferably Ansible and ARM).Previous team lead experience.Ability to work full time from client premises in Canberra.Desirable Skills / ExperienceKnowledge of the products in some of the following technology stack :HBase / HDFS (HDInsight), Neo4j, Kafka, NiFi, Kibana, Logstash, GraphQL, Redis, WSO2 Identity Server (or similar), WSO2 API Manager (or similar), PostgreSQL (or similar), React (or similar), Java Spring Boot, Azure big data services, Azure AD / ADFS, Azure API Manager, Azure CosmosDB.Academic Qualifications and Certifications :Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology Degree or equivalent together with specialized training in new technologies and legacy systems or equivalent.Workplace type : On-site WorkingAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
