The Department of Engineering in the School of Science and Technology at Cape Breton University invites applications for a Full-Time Continuing position in Engineering as the rank of Instructor. This position will commence December 1, 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
The successful candidate will perform the duties outlined in Article 43.06 in the NSGEU, Local 18, Teachers' Bargaining Unit Collective Agreement and will be responsible for the delivery of courses and related duties within the Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree programs.
Minimum RequirementsCandidates shall, as a minimum requirement, possess a Bachelor of Engineering (Elec, Envi or Mech) or Applied Science Degree. Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters level of education. Candidates should have 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
Environmental engineeringConsulting engineering in a related fieldElectronic EngineeringPetroleum processes and petroleum extractionManufacturing or mechanical designCivil and environmental designIn all cases teaching experience will be considered an asset.
