A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.About the RoleThis is a Permanent Part Time position at 4 sessions per fortnight (0.2 EFT) within the Department of Endocrinology & Diabetes.You will be responsible for the provision of excellent clinical care for children and adolescents with endocrine conditions and diabetes. This role has an inpatient (ward cover) component and an outpatient component, which may include outreach clinics.What you'll achieve:Promote and maintain exemplary standards of clinical practice in an inpatient and outpatient contextProvide supervision and support to junior medical staff (Fellows and SRMO), and training and education to the department's staff and medical students.Actively participate in team meetings and educational activities within the department.Your skills and experience:Experience in Paediatric Endocrinology at Consultant levelFRACP or equivalent College FellowshipKnowledge of RCH EMR, IT systems and policiesIf this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.About the Department:The Royal Children's Hospital Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes is one of the largest departments of its type in Australia.
