Make an impact at Serco Seeking a Part Time Dentist to join the dental team at Amberley Health Centre.
Working with a number of Dental Assistants, Dental Hygienists, Dentists and Central Sterilisation Supply Technicians on site to promote positive dental health outcomes for the Australian Defence Force personnel.
Our role has shifts available Monday to Wednesday, no nights or weekend shifts.
As a Dentist, you'll make a positive impact by: Providing emergency dental treatment Completing dental examinations, reviews and referrals Providing preventative treatment such as scaling, cleaning and fluoride therapy Restoring teeth damaged by caries or trauma, rebuilding tooth structures and providing crowns and bridges Treating diseases of the roots, gums and soft tissues of the mouth and carry out various minor oral surgical procedures Managing/treatment planning/referrals for malformation and misalignment of teeth and jaws (functional reasons only, not cosmetic) in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures Designing dentures and oral appliances Extracting teeth, including simple surgical extractions Performing root canal treatment of incisors to pre molars and molars with uncomplicated canal morphology Diagnosing and managing TMJ related disorders About ADF Health Services In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About Amberley Health Centre RAAF Base Amberley, the largest Air Force Base in Australia and approximately 50 minutes from Brisbane city.
It provides operational and maintenance support for the precision strike element of the Air Combat Group, F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft.
Supports the strategic lift capability for the Australian military's KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), C-17 Globemaster III heavy lift aircraft and C-27J Spartan battlefield airlifters.
The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to over 6500 RAAF members.
The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Thursday (depending on role requirements), and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.

To be successful in this role you'll have: Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Minimum of 3 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) post graduate clinical chair-side experience with at least 2 years full-time equivalent within the last 5 years Current First Aid (HLTAID003) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) certification Please note: · You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
· You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
