Full Time General Practitioner - Ahpra Level 3 supervision and above only

Tasks and Responsibilities: Clinical Responsibilities Provide high quality, primary health care services to the community, in keeping with best practice standards. Examine and identify patients and evaluate clinical problems. Provide appropriate care and services to patients of all age ranges and levels of health care needs. Document the patient's progress in the patient record using iEMR. Respond to medical / health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate. Provide after hours, on call and hospital services if applicable. Manage long-term conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways. Prescribe for patients as appropriate to need. Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to all patients attending the practice. Order diagnostic tests as required. Refer patients to other providers as appropriate. Operational Responsibilities Record and maintain accurate, adequate and relevant patient records using the established practice protocols and computerized medical records system, including details of: Previous health and family history Diagnostic results Registers and recalls Actively communicate and coordinate with colleagues, specialist services, and allied health professionals when sharing the care of a patient. Safety and Quality Record incidents and near-misses in line with practice policy. Practice duty of care including meeting practice standards and accountability. Maintain patient and practice confidentiality at all times. Qualifications: Relevant and Australian recognised medical degree. Current and appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Experience Requirement: At least 3 years of relevant experience as a GP. Ability to undergo the above tasks competently. Essential Skills and Requirements: Applied knowledge, skills, and experience as appropriate for the position. Satisfactory participation in quality improvement and continuing professional development to at least the same standards as the Royal Australian College of General Practice's (RACGP) Quality Assurance and Continuing Professional Development (QA & CPD) Program. Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen (or temporary residents requiring sponsorship who have obtained the required English level and registration level). Superior clinical decision-making in a busy work environment. Current First Aid or BLS certificate or willingness to obtain.
