This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sidekicker team as a Health and Safety Lead.
In this full-time role based in our Melbourne office, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Sidekicker's health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe working environment for our over 10,000 casual employees.
The Health and Safety Lead will play a crucial role in contributing to the overall health and safety of our 'Sidekicks'.
What you'll doHealth & Safety Programs Work with various internal stakeholders (Customer Team) to ensure health and safety of SidekicksEstablish and maintain OH&S processes for our Sidekicks, escalating failed OH&S processes where identified and work toward resolutionAssist in ensuring compliance with various state and federal employment legislation for SidekicksWork with COO to design and build early intervention programs to minimise incidents and claims from SidekicksCollaborate with senior management to embed a positive health and safety culture across the organisationDefine and implement best practice pre employment screening for our Sidekicks including managing OH&S induction, acceptance policies and audit practicesProvide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to managers and employeesHealth and Safety Processing Review OH&S documentation and safety inspections of worksites employing Sidekicks and provide meaningful feedback where requiredAudit OH&S documentation and safety inspections monthly to ensure compliance with internal SLA'sCollaborate with the customer-facing teams to ensure the health and safety of SidekicksInjury Management and Return to Work Process injuries efficiently including incident response, investigation, management and closureSupport in the Return to Work process ensuring exceptional care of our Sidekicks, including working with OH&S partners and other key stakeholders (Insurance Providers, Return to Work consultant, WorkCover consultant)Manage the lodging and maintenance of WorkCover claims, in conjunction with Return to Work consultantWork collaboratively with other team members where needed (Customer Support, Customer Team etc) to ensure fastest possible return to work for our SidekicksConduct post incident follow ups and investigations with Sites and where required ensure corrective action is takenAssist with the preparation of documentation and data for incident investigations by third partiesWhere necessary, remain on call for incident management outside of working hours (9-5)What we're looking forTertiary qualificationMinimum 5 years of experience in a similar health and safety roleExcellent knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practicesProven ability to develop and implement effective health and safety management systems and policiesStrong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage with employees at all levelsWhat we offerAt Sidekicker, we promote collaborative working with a fast paced startup culture.
