Assistant Farm Manager - Tamworth Region (NSW 2340)About UsProTen is the leading broiler chicken farm developer and operator in Australia, owning and operating over 659 poultry sheds across 54+ broiler farms in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Queensland.ProTen aims to be the market leader in the design, construction, and operation of broiler chicken farms in Australia, attributing its success to a culture of continuous improvement that encourages new ideas and practices.About the roleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Farm Manager to assist with the management of our Tamworth Region farms.
In this role, you will support the Farm Manager in managing day-to-day operations within cutting-edge, tunnel-ventilated broiler bird farms, providing strong leadership to a small team of approximately six to eight staff to ensure cost-effective and efficient bird production.About youTo be considered for the Assistant Farm Manager role, you will need at least two years of experience in supervisory roles within broiler/breeder farms.
You should be confident in working closely with staff, providing guidance and support, and taking a collaborative approach with the Farm Manager.
You are efficient, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who thrives in a small team.
The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia and be a passionate, competent, and hands-on leader with a high regard for Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality.
