Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Advisor
Approximately $125,000 Inclusive of Super, plus Tool of Trade Vehicle Start your NEW CAREER in 2025 Ventia is looking for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our Defence contract team in a full-time, permanent role.
Based in Rockingham or East Fremantle, with regular travel to Defence bases across WA, you'll play a key role in providing leadership, advice, and support to maintain compliance and drive operational excellence at all WA Defence sites.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor Safety Management Plans and ensure compliance with SHEQ policiesConduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standardsInvestigate safety incidents, identifying root causes and providing corrective actionsFacilitate training and inductions, fostering a culture of safety across the teamConduct internal and external audits and support continuous improvement programsPartner with leadership to ensure compliance with contractual KPIs and non-conformance managementAbout You: Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety, Environmental, or Quality AssuranceLead Auditor or incident investigation qualifications (ICAM preferred)2+ years of experience in safety, environmental, and quality roles, ideally within construction or infrastructureStrong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and regulatory requirementsProven experience in risk management, audits, and continuous improvement initiativesAbility to effectively mentor and influence internal and external stakeholdersAbout Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
