Senior Linux Engineer - Financial Services We are working with a global leader in the development of electronic trading.
This fintech helps roughly 3000 clients, made up of some of the world's largest banks, asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, wealth managers, and retail clients, spread across more than 65 countries.

The Role: Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on servers and workstations Apply security patches and updates to ensure the integrity and security of the Linux infrastructure Collaborate with a team of Network/System Administrators across the APAC region Participate in configuring and troubleshooting the firm's networks, servers, infrastructure, and services Develop metrics, monitoring, and reporting systems for trend analysis and infrastructure health management Lead troubleshooting efforts for systems, storage, and network issues Integrate solutions from Engineering teams into the operations framework Communicate effectively and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and interface groups throughout project phases Collaborate with security teams to implement security standards across the infrastructure Manage and lead external vendors, third parties, and agencies when necessary Provide subject matter expertise and resolve complex break/fix scenarios by engaging broader teams and partnering with vendors for continuous improvement Experience: Australian PR or Citizenship only BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent A self-motivated problem solver who is curious and shows a willingness to learn and grow Proficiency with Windows and Linux server technologies Experience in AWS environments Experience in Networking and Networking Infrastructure Great attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Excellent communication skills and a team player Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based servers and workstations (RHEL 8 and 9) Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline configuration management tasks.
Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V or similar.
