The purpose of the role is to oversee the operations and maintenance of all facilities and workshops.
Supervise and mentor facilities staff, providing training and development opportunities.
Plan and manage facility renovations, relocations and expansions.
Manage national group facilities and workshops, ensuring efficient operations, team collaboration, and optimal resource allocation for success.

This role is a full-time permanent role and it can be based at one of our locations below:
South Australia (Burton)
The key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to: Facilities Management: Develop and implement facility management strategies and policies.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Monitor and manage facility budgets, expenditures, and cost-saving initiatives.Foster a positive team environment focused on collaboration and high performance.Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs.Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance of facilities and equipment.Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs.Ensure all repairs are conducted promptly and to high standards.Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers.Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement processes for facility-related services.Monitor vendor performance to ensure service quality and compliance.Space Planning and Optimisation: Assess space utilisation and implement strategies for optimisation.Collaborate with other departments to meet their space and workshop needs.Health and Safety: Implement and maintain safety programs and protocols.Conduct regular safety audits and drills.Ensure all staff are trained in health and safety practices.Other: Other duties required for the role.About You The following skills are required for the incumbent to perform the duties of the position:
Conscientious and responsibleA keen eye for detail and a results driven approachExcellent organisational and leadership skillsProficient in MS OfficeIn depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standardsExcellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methodsShould possess superior business management skills and manufacturing and defence management experience.Qualifications and Experience: The following qualifications are required for the incumbent to perform the duties of the position:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.10 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role, preferably in a multi-site environment.Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage budgets and vendor contracts effectively.Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.How to express your interest in this opportunity: If you're eager to apply your skills and experience to our success and shape the future direction, then this role could be the perfect fit for you.
