Allied Health Educator - Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) Queensland Health (Organisation site: ) Maroochydore Community Health Hub An exciting opportunity exists for an Allied Health Educator - Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) (Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker) to deliver high-level education services and leadership across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).
Within this scope, the role will have accountability to provide or support the delivery of education and training to undergraduate, new graduate, and postgraduate Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, or Social Workers allied health staff working in clinical practice across the HHS.
In addition, there will be a requirement to participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the profession's practitioner development programs.
Key Responsibilities include: Delivering high-quality evidence-based Allied Health clinical education services for allied health professions within the MHAODS.Providing allied health specific training within MHAODS.Supporting the entry-level workforce to obtain minimum and desirable skills.Facilitating a training, mentoring, and supervision strategy for allied health in MHAODS to guide skill development and maintenance of core competencies from pre-entry and new graduates to advanced allied health practitioners.Expanding the capacity of the allied health workforce to provide clinical education placements.Remuneration value up to $157,359 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
