The Principal Architect - Corporate Finance position is a leader in the Architecture practice within the Enterprise Services CTO organisation whose primary role is to hold end to end responsibility of effective design, implementation and optimisation of technology solution for our Finance and Corporate (including Procurement, Risk, Property, Board Liaison and EPMO) business stakeholders.
This position is responsible for leading the definition of the Finance and Corporate IT blueprint and roadmap which provides the enterprise with a common vision of future state architecture.
This role requires a strong technology strategy and architecture background, knowledge of emerging domain technologies (ERP, procurement, financial systems, integration, AI etc), project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with business and technology teams.
Establish and run the Architecture team responsible for architecture and technical governance, developing architectural blueprints and high-level design for Finance and Corporate solutions Accountable for leading research and evaluation of emerging domain technologies, frameworks, and tools to identify opportunities for innovation in the Finance and Corporate domain Key Responsibilities: Finance Technology Strategy: Lead the development of the Finance and Corporate Technology Strategy and Roadmap in alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.
Lead the development of thought leadership in emerging Finance technology.
Finance IT Architecture: Lead the development of architectural blueprints and high-level designs for finance and corporate solutions, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements.
Be aware of the latest development in the enterprise architecture and cascade to team's requirements.
Finance Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to finance and corporate solution development ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, integration and architectural principles.
Provide principles, patterns, and governance requirements for domain solutions.
Architecture Governance: Represent the Finance and Corporate needs into all group architecture functions, meetings and governance, and for providing enterprise level guidance and governance back to the team.
Technology Evaluation: Conduct research and evaluation of emerging Finance and Corporate technologies, frameworks, and tools to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
Work with solution vendors to understand key features, cost, scalability and assess relevance to Australia Post.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements, prioritise initiatives, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Mentor and guide team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
In this role, you will be accountable for leading a team that represents the Finance and Corporate architecture team in group architecture functions, meetings, and governance, and for providing enterprise level guidance and governance back to the business portfolio function.
Additionally, you will be a key stakeholder for ongoing technology strategy work and will be responsible for understanding and communication of the strategy on behalf of the Finance and Corporate architecture team.
You will have outstanding socialisation, written and verbal communication skills, be curious, and can respectfully challenge and capable of communicating with both internal and external stakeholders including solution vendors, customers and business GMs as required.
Major Accountability Commercial & Strategic Priorities Accountable for leading the development of Finance and Corporate Technology Strategy, to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide cross-functional teams expertise on technology architecture and guidelines Accountable for development and implementation of Finance Technology Blueprints and Roadmaps that provide the enterprise with a common vision of our future state architecture Maintains expertise of current and emerging finance and corporate technologies such as SAP S4/HANA and more How we'll deliver for you ?
