Join us in creating a brighter future for everyone we serveDescription:About the roleCPBS is seeking experienced full-time or part-time Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our forward-thinking and dedicated ACT team based in Canberra.

Embrace the opportunity to thrive both personally and professionallyAs a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for ACT.
You'll play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of other practitioners.
The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.What you'll doProvide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessionsDevelop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support PlansProvide support to Behaviour Therapists and Support WorkersPerform Behaviour Therapist duties if requiredProvide support and training to employees on clinical techniquesDevelop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholdersWork with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklistsEnsure timely and accurate documentation of incidents and plansAssist the Regional Clinical Manager as requiredSkills and Experiences:What you'll needA bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour SupportProven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist.High level oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely mannerDemonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environmentCurrent NDIS Screening and Working with Children Checks and an NDIS Practitioner ID.Valid driver's licence and vehicleWillingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour SupportWorking at CPBSCPBS is thrilled to be the current recipient of Most Outstanding Positive Behaviour Support Provider Worldwide, at The GlobalsWorking at CPBS brings many rewarding experiences as we support our participants across the lifecycle.
