Management (Information & Communication Technology)As the Head of Delivery, you will take charge of transforming and centralising delivery processes for a large, market-leading organisation with over 8,000 employees. This role is for a "get stuff done" type of leader who can unite siloed delivery units under a single, cohesive Agile framework. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to solving challenges and take the business on a transformational journey towards delivery excellence. The entire business is eager to go on this journey together.This is a greenfield opportunity, with the ability to build from the ground up and implement governance, while ensuring business units work in harmony within a centralised delivery structure.Key Responsibilities:Lead the charge in taking siloed delivery units and unifying them under a centralised Agile framework.Develop and execute a delivery strategy that aligns with the organisation's vision of centralisation, ensuring that all business units work together cohesively.Drive Agile transformation across all units, taking the organisation on a journey of improvement, collaboration, and efficiency.Act as a change agent, ensuring that the delivery framework is fully adopted and embraced by all departments, while maintaining a focus on getting things done.Work closely with senior executives to ensure delivery processes support business priorities, focusing on delivering results quickly and efficiently.Agile Transformation:Champion Agile principles and practices, ensuring the adoption of a unified Agile framework that centralises delivery processes.Lead the transformation journey, coaching teams to embrace Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and improve performance and collaboration.Build and maintain Agile governance structures, ensuring consistent performance metrics across all units.Facilitate Agile ceremonies and retrospectives, optimising performance and ensuring continuous improvement.Delivery Management:Oversee the transition from legacy delivery systems to a centralised Agile delivery model.Ensure delivery processes are streamlined and aligned with the organisation's goals, while working to remove bottlenecks and resolve challenges quickly.Present delivery evaluations and progress to executives and business unit heads, ensuring clear communication and transparency.Govern and report delivery performance, providing insights to support the company's business objectives.Stakeholder Engagement:Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment between delivery processes and business objectives.Drive communication with executives and department heads, ensuring the organisation is on the same page during this centralisation journey.Be a visible leader who inspires teams and stakeholders to adopt a cohesive approach, ensuring delivery goals are achieved.Continuous Improvement & Governance:Implement governance frameworks to ensure delivery processes are structured, efficient, and scalable.Lead continuous improvement efforts, leveraging Agile metrics and feedback to refine processes and optimise outcomes.Maintain the company's market leadership position by keeping the delivery framework adaptive to the changing market environment.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience (7+ years) leading delivery teams, with a focus on centralising delivery functions within large organisations.A hands-on, "get stuff done" attitude, able to drive change and unify siloed teams under a common Agile framework.Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and a track record of successfully implementing Agile at scale.Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams.Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly in leading businesses through large-scale change initiatives.Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Trello, etc.) and delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time).Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications (Scrum Master, Agile Coach) are a plus.Key Attributes:A strategic and hands-on leader, able to guide the business through change while keeping teams focused on results.Collaborative and open-minded, able to take the business on a journey and work with teams that are ready to embrace centralisation.Agile mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and efficiency.Adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in a fast-paced, large-scale organisation.
