The Manager of Strategic Services will lead and manage the effective delivery of multiple strategic functions and initiatives advancing the Office of the Public Guardian's strategic priorities.
You will lead a team that includes strategic policy, complaints management, learning and development, and First Nations practice.
The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) is an independent statutory office established to protect the rights and interests of adults with impaired decision-making capacity, and children and young people in the child protection system and other visitable sites.

Key responsibilities: Lead the Strategic Services team to develop and implement a range of OPG wide strategic and operational priorities with a strong client focus.Lead the monitoring, interpretation and analysis of relevant government reforms and reviews of legislative and policy amendments to provide expert advice to OPG Senior Executives, all levels of government, and stakeholders on impacts on OPG and its clients.Ability to successfully negotiate a dynamic environment to deliver high quality, complex, evidence-based policy submissions and responses within short timeframes.Strategically lead the review and maintenance of the OPG's learning and development framework and delivery of learning and development activities to ensure they are evidenced based, meet business needs and deliver value for money.Strategically lead and manage OPG's incoming complaints function and apply complaints data to inform continuous improvement and staff professional development.Lead OPG's engagement with Queensland Government's Truth-Telling and Healing Inquiry.Lead a range of initiatives and practice quality improvements to develop cultural awareness and capability across OPG for both staff and OPG clients, and to improve cultural safety of OPG as a workplace, and for its clients.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
