Senior Manager – Performance and Assurance Audit Audit - External (Accounting)

We are looking for someone who is committed to contributing to our vision of better public services and our mission of independent and valued assurance and insights.
You should have a strong understanding of public sector operations and a passion for better public services.
As a strategic thinker with advanced client relationship skills, you will influence our clients to make real change.
A strong understanding of Queensland Government frameworks and policies (preferably in areas such as project management, procurement, asset management) is desirable.
You will play a key role within the performance audit team and across QAO, with responsibilities including:
Leading and managing teams in the delivery of a diverse range of performance audits over the Queensland Public Sector.
Building and maintaining effective stakeholder and client relationships at a senior level and delivering professional presentations.
Providing expert advice to internal stakeholders, including Directors and Assistant Auditors-General.
Contributing to a range of other deliverables and initiatives across the QAO, such as the forward work plan.
Building capability and mentoring staff across the QAO to support a high-performing workforce and a strong culture.

A Brisbane-based role with hybrid work arrangements – work from client sites, in the office, and from home.
Salary commensurate with experience – $161,500 to $170,700 (includes 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading).
