Join Mater Group as the Manager - Strategic Sourcing in a permanent full-time capacity and deliver exceptional value to our stakeholders.
Leverage your commercial expertise to provide expert procurement advice and support.
Contribute to category vision and execute innovative sourcing strategies as well as planning and managing high-value sourcing events.
These accountabilities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Define and execute sourcing strategies, including supplier panel management and optimisationBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, acting as an escalation point for risks and issuesDevelop category, product and supplier knowledge to inform strategies and negotiationsStay informed about market trends and industry developments for effective sourcing approachesLead end-to-end tendering processes, ensuring compliance and providing guidance on probityNegotiate and implement contracts with performance incentives for effective contract managementEnsure adherence to procurement processes and contribute to policy developmentShare knowledge and best practices, fostering statewide benefit from procurement initiativesAbout you Relevant procurement or business qualification or certification, highly desiredExtensive procurement experience in a large and diverse organisationStrong knowledge and practical experience in commercial and contract negotiations, and contract and supplier managementExperience in implementing contract and supplier management strategies and techniquesProven ability to develop and promote procurement initiatives, manage change, and improve performanceDemonstrated experience in managing teams and fostering employee developmentKnowledge and experience with e-procurement systems, including data analysis capabilitiesMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
