ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions is a joint venture between ANZ Banking Group and Europe's leading payment technology company, Worldline.
We launched in Australia in early 2022, providing in-store and ecommerce payment solutions to around 60,000 Australian businesses. This is a fantastic chance for an experienced Melbourne based Accountant to establish a career within the Payments industry. The Role
Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Taxes, the financial accountant is responsible for supporting the business operations and taxes in all preparatory work across a broad range of activities including General Ledger, transactional accounting, taxes preparation, payroll & audit. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements including compliance with accounting standards, taxation legislation, and adherence to a robust internal control environment.
Key responsibilities include
General Ledger Accounting & Reporting
Capturing journal entries (accruals and manual entries, posting of daily, month end & concur journals into SAP)
Submitting month end data and ensuring year end audits in relation to GL are on a timely basis.
Overseeing monthly transactional accounting ensuring quality and compliance with corporate policy
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
Preparing the IFRS16, fixed assets entries, depreciation & reconciliation
Preparing accurate BAS return, FBT preparation, CBC report, Transfer pricing, Withholding taxes, R&D reporting, quarterly ABS reporting, Tax Return declaration
Preparing and presenting accurate financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards
Preparing payroll reconciliation, preparing annual leave & long service leave accruals on a monthly basis, payroll tax accrual and payment
Collaborating with auditors
Required skills and experience
4+ years direct experience in a similar role
CA / CPA qualified or recognised equivalent
Relevant tertiary qualification
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and database management
Strong technical accounting & taxes knowledge and skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.
Good written and oral communication skills
Professional work ethic, intelligence, and self-awareness
