Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carersAbility to purchase up to 4 weeks of additional annual leaveThe opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plansOptions for additional superannuation contributionsExcellent facilities including gym, beachside workout area, swimming pool, golf course, tennis and squash courts, sports oval, and scenic walking tracksABOUT THE ROLEThis is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. Residential option to live on Groote Eylandt considered.As the Mine Monitoring & Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for enhancing operational performance through effective leadership, equipment management and risk mitigation strategies.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Oversee the allocation of mining equipment to optimise production and performanceMonitor equipment health to ensure asset reliability and effective planning processesMaintain data integrity in line with the Time Usage Model (TUM)Implement risk management strategies and conduct performance analysisProvide coaching and support for defect elimination and safe work executionABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Extensive experience with Fleet Management and Asset Health platformsSupervisory experience with Mine Controllers and/or Production Mining crews (preferred)Background in continuous improvement projects and initiativesProficient in software such as Modular Dispatch, Provision, CatHealth, MineCare, Microsoft Office, and/or SAPWorking knowledge in reporting software such as MinVu and PowerBIQualifications for this position are:Level 3 Modular DispatchMining Supervisor competency G1, G8, G9 (or willing to obtain)G2 Risk Management (highly desirable)South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
