Design and implement AWS Cloud solutions as a Cloud Solution Architect in a transformative project.
Your new company
The Cloud Solution Architect will work within a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of a Project Manager.
The role involves analysing, defining, designing, and documenting architecture patterns for the clients project, ensuring alignment with the overall program and enterprise architecture.
The primary goal is to transform the ABS Business Register from outdated legacy technology to an AWS Cloud-based solution, involving a significant shift from a traditional relational database model to a Business Spine model.
Your new role
Provide expert advice on cloud-compliant solutions and deliver security-compliant architecture patterns.
Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders.
Produce high-quality architectural documentation and artefacts.
Offer architectural guidance on complex technical issues and recommend robust solutions.
Ensure alignment with program, security, and enterprise architectural requirements.
Communicate and present architectural solutions to various stakeholders.
Expected Outcomes
Delivery of project architecture artefacts and documentation, including current and future state architecture, reference architecture, and detailed design documents.
Strong collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.
Architectural guidance for technical implementation and addressing business requirements.
Compliance with organisational architecture governance requirements.
Regular reporting on project architecture artefacts and documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, preferably within a federal government department.
Proficiency with major cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and experience in transitioning from legacy to cloud solutions.
Ability to provide architectural guidance and recommendations.
Strong communication skills for articulating and presenting solutions.
The candidate must be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of Baseline security clearance.
