The Yiros Shop has quickly become one of Queensland's most favourite Fast Food Restaurants serving traditional Greek Yiros filled with delicious tastes and flavours, snack-boxes, salads and delicious Greek desserts.
Our stores have a fun, chilled out atmosphere for our customers and cater for 50/50 eat-in and takeaway.
The Yiros Shop currently has 15 locations stretching across Brisbane, Moreton Bay region and the Gold Coast region with more locations opening all the time
Job Description About the role
Join the dynamic team at The Yiros Shop as a Junior Accounts Assistant.
This full-time role is based in our head office located in South Brisbane, which is walking distance from public transport.
This is an entry level position in a close knit team that would be suitable for someone with a genuine interest in finance, accounting and payroll.
You will be provided with ongoing training and mentoring.
The ideal candidate would be detail orientated, focused, able to work within set deadlines, have a high degree of accuracy and have good communication skills.
The role will encompass weekly payroll processing, accounts payable document processing, bank reconciliations, end of month journals and various other tasks within the finance and payroll team.
The position would suit someone studying accounting and/or finance or someone with 6-12 months experience in basic accounts or payroll.
For the ideal candidate, we are open to adjusting the role to accommodate your study schedule if needed.
What you'll be doing Assist with basic payroll duties Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly bank reconciliations Maintain accurate accounting records and databases Provide administrative support to the accounting team Accounts payable document processing Identify process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of accounting systems and procedures What we offer
