The Business: Genus Infrastructure is a diverse business offering turnkey solutions in engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning & maintenance of electrical, communications, water & gas utilities.
Our expertise extends to all associated disciplines including trenching, horizontal directional drilling, cable & conduit installation, full end to end design and network installation, jointing and splicing, providing a complete in-house solution for all underground utility installations.
With locations nationwide, we have 1000+ staff operating across Australia with a range of skills and accreditations.
We have the in-house capabilities and experience to manage projects from the design stage to customer handover including quality assurance and control with full-time auditors.

The Position: We are currently seeking Horizontal Directional Drillers Offsiders & Trade Assistants to join our WA based teams and offer the following:
Permanently full-time position with an immediate start Rewarding hourly rates of pay + penalties for overtime 50+ hours per week Perth metropolitan based with occasional regional work Large pipeline of work, currently scheduled into 2026 Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Horizontal Directional Drillers Offsider: The driller's offsider will work with our drill crew to assist in the installation of underground utility infrastructure.
Duties will include:
Driving light & heavy vehicles Conducting daily pre-start vehicle & equipment checks Assisting in the set up & dismantle of site Maintaining a clean & safe work site including cleaning of the drill rig & equipment Vacuum truck operations Trade Assistant: The trade assistant will work with our civil construction crew to assist in the installation of underground utility infrastructure.
Duties will include:
Driving light & heavy vehicles Conducting daily pre-start vehicle & equipment checks Assisting in the set up & dismantle of site Maintaining a clean & safe work site including cleaning of equipment Assisting in the installation of conduit, cable, pits & streetlights Essential Skills/Requirements: HR driving license Construction Induction (Blue/White Card) A pro-active view to OH&S Ability to read and interpret site plans & DBYD drawings Collaborate with a diverse range of professionals on-site to achieve project goals Ensure all work complies with industry standards and client requirements Desirable Skills: Excavator operator ticket Western Power Network Access Card (NAC) First Aid & CPR This is a great opportunity for you to further progress your career as training and development will be provided with opportunities for promotion to various roles throughout the company.
