Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and person-centred care creates a nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and dignity of our elderly residents.As a Clinical Nurse in residential Aged Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained throughout our facility. You will collaborate with our dedicated team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care, with a focus on enhancing their overall quality of life.The position works closely alongside the Facility Manager overseeing the clinical and care services within the facility. The role also provides the opportunity to act in the role of Facility Manager periodically, a great career path.Full Time PositionCommencement Bonus of $3000 payable at successful completion of first full pay period and a Retention Bonus of $2000 to be paid after successful completion of probationVery Competitive salary ratesADO AvailableAssistance with short term accommodation if requiredSalary Packaging available up to $15,900Christian Homes Tasmania provide professional development opportunitiesThe successful person will demonstrate:An ability to lead, guide and maintain best practice within the clinical domain which is supportive of mentoring and guiding colleagues.A commitment to treating residents and clients with dignity and respect and supporting them to maintain their identity.A supportive approach with respect to residents maintaining their independence and making informed choices about their care, services, and living the life they choose.Experience in initial and ongoing assessment and planning for care in partnership with the resident, with a focus on optimizing health and well-being in accordance with the resident's needs, goals, and preferences.An ability to contribute to and lead the facility's approach to the delivery of safe and effective services and support for daily living including clinical care and personal care in accordance with the resident's needs, goals, and preferences to optimize independence, health, well-being, and quality of life.Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the accreditation process.Strong leadership skills and an ability to mentor team members.Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to deal with change.A high level of organizational and prioritization skills and an ability to multi-task.A commitment to quality continuous improvement.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.A commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).Essential requirements of the position are:A minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse.A current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake and maintain the equivalent throughout employment.An approved NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or a willingness to undertake one.Applications including a covering letter, outlining your skills and experience relative to the position, and a Resume should be forwarded to Amy Bunder, Manager People & Culture via the 'apply now' option on SEEK by 5pm Friday 25 October 2024.
