Job DescriptionKalwun Development Corporation Ltd is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation currently seeking to fill the following vacancy within our Health and Wellbeing Services division. Kalwun Health and Wellbeing Service delivers a primary health care service to the people of the Gold Coast & surrounding communities.
* This is an identified position, applicants must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person * About the Role The Medical Receptionist will provide quality customer service, effective and efficient administration support and you will play an integral role in our overall patient engagement and attendance. You will be working in a professional environment assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a range of complex health related issues. Based at our busy Coomera clinic, we are seeking an individual who can work under pressure in a fast paced environment, multi-task, and remain compassionate at all times.
Position Duties Booking and confirming client appointmentsProviding efficient and courteous customer serviceProviding administrative support to clinical staffAs this is a key front line role, you must be well presented, welcoming and professionalExperience in an administrative role within the healthcare industry is desirable.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skillsPrior experience working in a front line customer service roleAbility to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary teamConsiderable tact and diplomacy and ability to maintain confidentialityProven ability to display professional courteous manner when dealing with patients, staff and the general publicAbility to work independently and to demonstrate initiativeUnderstanding of Medicare billing items is desirableCurrent Qld C class drivers licence.What we offer Kalwun values the contributions of all staff and is committed to providing an inclusive workplace where all staff feel accepted, included and welcomed.
