Due to growth, we are seeking the employment of a FIFO Mechanical Technician to join our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join ARA Fire, recognised for its strong customer focus in fire protection, service, and minor works.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorking autonomously and within a tight-knit team, the Mechanical Technician is supported by administrative and trades persons to work within the Service team providing I&T and D&C duties for one of our key remote clients on a 7 days on/7 days off swing (12-hour days), maintaining Fire Pumps, Sprinkler/Deluge/Special Hazards systems, Hydrants, Hose reels, and Portables across their facilities.Roster: 7:7 / 7 days on 7 days off (12-hour days)Sites: BHP Mount Keith/CliffsStart Date: 15/02/2024Duties include:I&T routine compliance testing to AS1851D&C / breakdown worksClose liaison with our client on-site personnelManaging your own daily scheduleScoping of materials for D&C and Breakdown tasksCompleting all on-site paperwork to access locations and perform tasksReporting directly to our Perth-based Account ManagerWorking with ARA Fire Alarm Technician to assist, perform 2-man testing, etc.Completion of tasks within our Service Maintenance software CLARAFYRequirements:Current driver's licence inclusive of 4WD certificationCompletion of medical inclusive of drug & alcohol testPreference to those who have worked on mine sites previouslyExtinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL)The successful applicant requires a high degree of organisational skills, prioritisation of tasks, customer focus, calmness, self-motivation, and the ability to interact with clients daily while owning a task through to its completionThis role will suit someone who:Is well organised and can work with ambiguity and changes to daily activitiesHas a strong work ethic and works well with multiple units within mine site operationsIs cooperative and carries tasks through to completionCopes with being busy at times and enjoys pressureCan be relied upon to work efficiently when unsupervisedHas a minimum of 5 years' experience in tradeWhat's in it for you:Training and coaching to ensure you are comfortable in your new roleEmployee Wellness programCompany tools and phoneCommunity and indigenous support programsFamily Friendly Company CulturePromote from within Culture, internal career pathways availableYou will be supported and surrounded by a professional team who are customer-focused and strive for excellenceFull-time employment with superannuation of industry standard along with paid personal and annual leaveThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a national fire protection company with a strong service background.If the above sounds like you and you thrive in a busy environment, then please send us your resume.You must be able to prove eligibility to work full time in Australia.ARA is an equal opportunity employer.
