Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future.
You'll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola.
We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine.
It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide.
Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications.

Lead the medium-term planning process, developing monthly mine plans and budget forecasts to safely meet production and cost targets.
Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure monthly plans align with operational and strategic objectives, considering all inputs.
Generate, refine and communicate monthly estimates, balancing resource utilisation with operational efficiency and waste rock placement strategies.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements in all planning activities.
Lead the reconciliation and reporting of actual mine production against planned estimates, identifying variances, analysing root causes and recommending improvement strategies.
Mentor and support junior planners, fostering growth and a high-performance culture within the team.
About You:
Minimum of 8 years' experience in mine planning roles, with at least 5 years relevant site based experience and 3 years in a senior or leadership position.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a team, manage performance, and build a positive work culture.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
Expertise in medium-term planning and budgeting, with a focus on monthly scheduling and resource estimates.
Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Vulcan, Deswik, Spry) and budgeting tools.
Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Mining or similar relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, with a strong background in drill & blast engineering.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
