You'll work with a diverse group of people who share a common goal, and you will be well supported to use your professional skills and knowledge to provide specialized support at the individual, group, school, and area level. Our dynamic team comprises Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Behavioural Analysts, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers. You will also work with other Area and regional staff, such as Education Improvement Leaders, Visiting Teachers, School Nurses, and Professional Practice Leaders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes in schools.The Department of Education is looking for Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Pathologists to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) team in Wyndham in supporting schools to address the barriers to learning that impact student(s) progress towards achieving their educational goals and developmental potential.Working with our SSS team, you will have access to:Structured induction and a range of regular professional development opportunities, e.g., Peer and 1:1 supervision/coaching - both discipline-specific and team-based peersMentors to help build a professional careerImplementation of a range of innovative practice opportunities that help to meet all, some, and individualized student needs, e.g., a combination of consultation and direct work with students and teachersFunctional needs assessmentWorking with teachers and school leaders to influence (system) changeAccess to up-to-date resources and technologyThis is a full-time ongoing role with flexible work arrangements.
