Full-time Buyer position available in Kings Park NSW 2148
Europe Imports Pty Ltd mainly specializes in developing materials for swimming pool construction and developing mosaic installation systems for underwater conditions.
For the past 19 years, Europe Imports has strived to help our partners grow their businesses by infusing our business values and corporate vision into their daily interactions.
We are looking for a full-time Buyer who can join our team.
The position is responsible for the negotiation of the goods purchased for the Business, including coordinating the overall operation of the Business's purchasing and merchandise planning function to ensure products are provided at the most competitive rates.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analysing market trends to develop product and promotional opportunities through research, product history, current trends, and competitor activity.
Sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring prompt delivery of the Business' products.
Identifying new opportunities, performance, and discounts to achieve reduced supply chain costs for all products displayed on the shelves.
Identifying, controlling, and developing merchandise planning processes and practices to ensure the Business obtains the best value for expenditure on goods and services and seeks ways to improve efficiencies and ensure merchandise planning compliance and budgetary requirements.
Actively monitoring sales across the organization, identifying any deficiencies, and recommending improvements.
Developing, compiling, reconciling, and/or updating information in vendor and stock databases to provide effective processing, information management, and reporting.
Providing support to staff on procurement matters, long-term planning, sales promotions, and changing market conditions.
Providing staff training and control for merchandise processes, procedures, and guidelines as required.
Auditing and providing key advice in developing, reviewing, and implementing merchandise planning, pricing, marketing and promotional, display strategies, and overall processes and practices.
Liaising with Business' suppliers for products to determine quantity, style, and quality and to ensure the most up-to-date data is available for the supply of goods and services.
Drafting and negotiating contracts and subsequent administration.
Preparing Contract changes and amendments and reviewing submissions from providers for conformity to contract specifications.
Preparing reports and presentations to management as required.
Skills and Requirements
Relevant Qualification Minimum 1 year of experience Commercial awareness Confidence Ability to make decisions Ability to cope with pressure Maths skills IT skills Good teamworking skills Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $75,000 - $95,000 p.a.
plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
