Company Description Located in prestigious Rittenhouse Square, the AAA rated 4-diamond Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Hotel, boasts 306 beautifully appointed guestrooms, featuring Lanvin amenities, dream bedding and a luxurious atmosphere.

Job Description As an Executive Chef, you will lead the entire operation of all the Kitchens and the entire Heartist team in planning, preparing and directing all food preparation in the hotel to create unforgettable and elegant dining experiences for all our clientele.

Manage all Kitchens and ensure efficient daily functioning while working closely with Food & Beverage director and the other Kitchen leaders (Chefs) in your team.Development of new concepts, creating and introducing new menus and standardized recipes, keeping food cost at minimum per assigned goal and also ensuring quality, consistency and hygiene both for products and equipment in the restaurant.Allocate kitchen resources, execute controls, train and develop kitchen staff including coaching and recommendations for discipline, systemizes daily functioning, and maintains efficient Kitchen Operations in the department.Showcase your unique personality, creativity and skills in any food you cook and create a memorable dining experience with your food.Work with the Culinary team in the heart of the house in ensuring quality of food, food preparation, timeliness of catering service, and efficiency of the operation.Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.Exercise good judgment and intuition to anticipate the needs of the team, managers, co-workers and guests.
Take initiative to connect with your fellow Ambassadors, inquire about their guest experience, and ensure guest satisfaction.Be empowered to lead morning/evening operations and address feedback from external guests, the Food & Beverage service team and the Sales department.Qualifications A love of all things culinary and the inherent desire to create unique delicious dishes and build a talented professional team.A positive, can-do attitude and an ability to multi-task in a fast paced, exciting environment while working alongside a diverse group of colleagues.Skilled in communicating with fellow team members with a polished appearance and a poised demeanor.Excited to lead and motivate a team of skilled culinarians.Ability to naturally engage with anybody and show empathy; have genuine care and concern for both the well-being of our guests and fellow team members.A desire to learn and grow in a professional, fun and chic environmentA minimum of ten years of leadership experience.A Bachelor's degree / Professional Studies degree in Culinary Arts Management, Baking and Pastry Arts Management and Culinary Science.Your team and working environment: Be part of an exciting and influential team to guide the transformation of luxury, French hospitality.We recognize and celebrate team and individual successes.A brand influenced by French indulgence offering a genuine experience of art de vivre for both employees and guests.Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
