About the practice: Practice Information: Currajong Clinic is a busy little family practice which provides a full Bulk Billing service to the town of Gin Gin and surrounds.
There are 3 consulting rooms, a computerised clinical and booking system, using Best Practice software.
There is also a visiting physiotherapist who consults once a month.
All equipment is provided with excellent admin staff and nursing support.
The nurse co-ordinates chronic disease management plans, diabetes care, veterans care, vaccinations for children, travel and influenza.
This clinic provides health care to the local Gin Gin area as well as the wider rural community.
We cover all aspects of General Practice including but not limited to the following: Men's and Women's Health Family Planning Vaccinations Spirometry Minor Surgery Skin Cancer care & Skin Checks Cryotherapy Excisions Chronic Disease Management Health Assessments Lifestyle Advice Audiology Counselling ECG's Preventative Care Childhood immunisationsAbout Gin Gin: Gin Gin is a lovely country town 30 minutes from the city of Bundaberg and a 4.5 hour drive from Brisbane.
In Gin Gin you can enjoy the serenity of country living while still having the necessary facilities available such as a hospital, chemist,pathology lab, schools, shops, pubs, restaurants and weekly markets with fresh produce, arts and crafts.
The area provides opportunities for hiking, boating, fishing, camping and only a short drive to beautiful beaches in Bundaberg and Bargara.
Vacancy description: Position Description: To provide patient-centred care that addresses health needs and promotes wellness.
Such care is based on latest evidence and guidelines and meets legislative requirements.
Responsibilities: To provide good clinical care: Providing skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to patients.
Ordering diagnostic tests as needed and checking and informing patients of results in accordance with the practice's procedure.
Referring patients appropriately to other providers if their needs exceed the range of care you are able to provide.
Consulting and collaborating with colleagues to provide optimal care.
Documenting all care provided and education/information given to patients within their health record, in accordance with the practice's procedure.
