As a Legal Assistant with Viva Leisure, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support across a variety of matters and administration.
This role will involve document preparation, legal research, file management, and client interaction.
Working closely with our General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel team, you'll be instrumental in ensuring our team receives seamless service and effective solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDocument Preparation: Assist with drafting, editing, and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence with precision and adherence to legal standards.File and Case Management: Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring that all documents are up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible for the legal team.Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research, compiling information, case law, and precedents to support case strategies and decision-making.Client Liaison: Communicate with clients professionally, gathering relevant information, providing updates on case progress, and ensuring they feel informed and supported.Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling, file opening/closing, billing, and other administrative tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the team.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORQualifications: A diploma in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role.Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling legal documents and client information.Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently within tight deadlines.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, legal professionals, and team members.Technical Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software is essential; experience with case management systems is highly regarded.Team Player: A proactive approach to supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.YOUR LIFE AT VIVA - PERKS & BENEFITSViva are proud of being an Employer of Choice.
