Senior Manager, Public Relations - Asia Pacific & Japan Why We Have This Role We are seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic and strategic Senior Manager of Public Relations to join our global PR Team.
This individual will oversee all aspects of our communications strategy in Asia Pacific and Japan, be a key leader in the global PR team, manage and collaborate with agency partners in Australia, Southeast Asia and Japan, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to enhance Qualtrics' brand presence and reputation in the marketplace.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public relations, excellent communication skills, and understanding of the local market, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
How You'll Find Success The PR Team is at the forefront of educating the market on how Qualtrics is working with iconic organisations to deliver a range of business results with great experiences.
In this role, you need the ability to develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies that align with business objectives, enhancing brand visibility and reputation.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers, along with experience in pitching stories and securing coverage.
Work across the entire business to tell stories that drive impact.
Things You'll Do: Strategic PR Planning: In partnership with the global team and integrated with the marketing function, develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with Qualtrics' overall business objectives.Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
Proactively pitch stories, respond to inquiries, create content, manage media events, and publish across channels.Agency Management: Lead a network of agency partners in the APJ region.Internal communications: Manage key internal engagements for the region, and support executive leaders on conveying strategic announcements.Analyst relations: Undertake strategic engagements with the local analyst community, and maintain relationships with key influencers.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executives and internal teams, including customer success, People, and Marketing to ensure program alignment.What We're Looking For On Your Resume Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.7+ years of experience in public relations - expertise in B2B tech is desired, in-house or agency.Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Asia Pacific and Japan media landscapes, cultural nuances, and regional market trends.Proven track record of successful media relations, particularly in a technology or SaaS environment in Asia.Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities, with a knack for creative problem-solving and innovative approaches to PR challenges.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present ideas clearly.Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.Proficient in PR analytics tools and measuring media impact.Our Team's Favorite Perks and Benefits A comprehensive package consisting of base, bonus, and generous benefits.
