Allocator - Local / Container and InterstateMKD Transcorp was established in 1999 and has successfully grown into a large quality business providing contract logistics services for major blue-chip clients throughout Australia.
MKD specialises in interstate line-haul operations, metropolitan delivery services, as well as container haulage.
We offer our customers a diverse range of equipment options that allows for the movement of all types of freight within and between Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and other regional areas throughout Australia.To be considered for this role:You must have proven experience in a Transport & Logistics business as a transport allocator.Do not apply without this experience.Position:We have an opportunity for an allocator with solid experience allocating and managing a team of interstate and local drivers to join our Operations team.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible, able to travel to work in Laverton Nth, and have the passion to work with a team of like-minded and energetic staff.As part of a busy and progressive transport company, you will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries for any given day are allocated and completed correctly.
You will have a thorough understanding of CoR principles, including strong Fatigue Management understanding.Duties:Managing, coordinating, and allocating runs for 25+ drivers and vehiclesEnsuring driver runs are efficiently structuredLiaising with customersMonitoring driver performance and on-time performanceCommunicating expectations to driversCompliance with all relevant legal requirementsStrong Fatigue management strategiesPersonal Specification:Self-starting, motivated, organised with an attention to detailCan Do attitude and motivated to achieve resultsA strong mix of achievement focus and relationship buildingProfessional mannerExcellent interpersonal skills and presentationOpportunities like this don't come around every day so APPLY NOWYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as an Allocator?Are you willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check?Do you have experience working with logistics, freight & delivery services?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?Are you willing to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening?Do you have freight forwarding experience?Do you have a heavy vehicle driver's licence?
