Role DetailReporting to the Melbourne based Senior Corporate Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the firm's external communications strategy, to promote the firm's brand through thought leadership and public relations tactics.
With flexibility to be based out of the Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane CBD office, working collaboratively with other senior roles within the Communications and Business Development and Marketing function, this role will identify opportunities to showcase the firm's expertise and experience in key priority areas most relevant to our clients and make recommendations for increasing the firm's share of voice in the market.
Key responsibilities include:Developing and implementing issues-led profiling plans for the firm's core sectors and practice areas.Driving execution of the firm's media engagement strategy, including: Identifying target publications and building and maintaining relationships with key journalists; Pitching to media on market issues and developments relevant to clients; Preparing media talking points and messaging; Drafting or providing editorial guidance on OpEds.Playing a key role in designing and delivering end to end thought leadership campaigns including: identification of topical issues/themes/trends; Campaign management; Stakeholder engagement; Editorial guidance; Key message development; Pitching to media.Upskilling team members & colleagues.Engaging with senior stakeholders and partners.Measuring and reporting on the performance of our external communications tactics.About YouThis will suit a proactive storyteller with a natural curiosity about the commercial world.
You will have exposure to some of the biggest deals in Australia, with a front row seat at how the impact of the law, with guidance from a top tier law firm, can have a positive effect on businesses; the economy; the community; and geopolitical landscape.

With an excellence without arrogance ethos, you will also need:
Strong understanding of, and interest in the economic and business issues in Australia and Asia.Excellent business writing and ability to translate complex concepts into plain language.Demonstrated ability to execute multifaceted communication campaigns.Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.Project management and time management skills.Experience in or understanding of professional services is advantageous but not essential.Knowledge of or interest in learning video/audio content production will be looked on favourably.Next StepsApplications close COB Wednesday 4th December 2024.
