Teaching - Secondary (Education & Training) Full time We are seeking a full-time Science Teacher with the ability to teach Senior Chemistry commencing in Semester 1, 2025.
You will join a collaborative team and work actively in classrooms, utilising your strong pedagogical and behaviour management practices.
The ideal candidate will excel at creating inclusive and engaging classroom experiences, fostering critical thinking and real-world application of scientific concepts, teaching science and senior chemistry classes.
Strong communication skills are essential for building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, and for providing timely support and feedback to promote student success.
The ability to inspire a passion for science, while maintaining a focus on each student's individual needs, is crucial in this role.
The Science Teacher will play a vital role in fostering a dynamic learning environment that promotes academic excellence and development of students.
As the successful candidate you will:Deliver outstanding science education with an unwavering dedication to excellence.Establish positive relationships, engaging in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.Demonstrate effective pedagogical practices in learning and teaching, supporting the development and maintenance of positive relationships with students and colleagues.Create a dynamic, student-centered learning environment that is supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents, and practices.Implement effective, adaptive, inclusive, and equitable teaching strategies.Provide effective supervision of students and behaviour management practices.Support the sacramental, liturgical, ritual, and prayer life of the College.Ensure that the teachings, values, and practices of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.About Villanova CollegeVillanova College is a distinguished independent Catholic school for boys, guided by the Augustinian Order.
