You will be responsible for creating and maintaining logical and physical data models that are consistent with standards and guardrails within the Data Modelling Chapter and be involved in advancing these standards and guardrails.You will have a passion for data with previous experience in data analytics, dimensional modelling and exposure to data vault would be highly desirable. You will work closely with the Solution Architects, Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and Technical Leads on designing the data models and take design ownership of the data models.This is a terrific opportunity to showcase your Data Modelling skills, collaborate with high performing teams and to bring your knowledge and expertise to an exciting group wide transformation.What you'll do:Work closely with business stakeholders and business analysts on defining business requirementsAdvise and implement best practice data modelling in projectsCreate and maintain logical and physical models in modelling tool and BitbucketBe involved in projects to drive alignment to data architecture and modelling standards and guardrailsWork closely with the development team to implement data modelsChampion/Advocate modelling designs where requiredImplement data modelling governance frameworkProvide mentoring and guidance to data modelling community in SuncorpPeer review data modelling artefactsStrong industry knowledge of business domains and apply the knowledge in data modelsStrong consulting and business analysis skillsAbility to influence management decisions across organisational boundariesStay current with latest technologies and data modelling methodologiesWhat you'll bring:Advanced in Dimensional Modelling (Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model)Advanced in designing and implementing Kimball ArchitectureProven experience in designing and implementing Data Vault 2.0 highly desirableExperience in implementing data models in databasesExperience working within the Insurance sector would be highly desirableStrong negotiation skills and effective communication and analytical skillsAbility to translate business requirements to technical requirementsProven Experience in creating Enterprise Bus MatrixAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWhat we can offer:A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leaveDiscounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance productsGive back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leaveInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programsPrioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee councilAt Suncorp, we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
