The Role: As a Workshop Supervisor, you will oversee all production activities in the workshop, ensuring efficient workflows, quality standards, and timely delivery.
You'll lead and motivate a team of skilled technicians, collaborating with other departments to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and motivate workshop staff to achieve productivity and performance goals.Oversee workshop processes to ensure manufacturing meets quality standards and deadlines.Coordinate workflow, liaising with the project team and Workshop Team Leaders.Supervise and mentor workshop technicians, identifying training needs and opportunities.Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Perform quality inspections and collaborate on resolving quality concerns.What You'll Bring: You should have proven supervisory experience in a mechanical manufacturing workshop, strong technical expertise, and a passion for leading teams.
Skills and Experience Required: Trades qualification in metal fabrication or related field.Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes and equipment.Leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to read fabrication drawings and plan workflows effectively.Familiarity with quality assurance and health and safety practices.A motor vehicle driver's licence is required.Why Join Barclay Engineering?
