Roster : 7 on 7 off rotating Day / Night
About the Business Yarrabee Coal Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yancoal Australia, based in Blackwater Queensland, a 2 hour drive west of Rockhampton.
Yancoal Australia is Australia's largest pure play coal producer, boasting three tier one thermal coal mines in New South Wales and Queensland.

To generate a strong talent pipeline for 2025, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from those eager to join the rewarding mining industry as a New To Industry Haul Truck Operator with the Yarrabee Team.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities As part of our commitment to increasing skills and employment opportunities, we are seeking dedicated New To Industry Operators to join our team at Yarrabee Coal Company.
This is a 12-month appointment (fixed term), where you will be trained to safely operate Yarrabee Coal's mobile equipment while gaining first-hand experience working in the mining industry.
The ideal candidate demonstrates an eagerness to learn, as well as the capability to safely and effectively operate the relevant equipment.
Skills and Experience To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following attributes:
Sound work history and attendanceDemonstrated ability to learn and be trainedSound understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification, and a strong commitment to safety performanceSound verbal and written communication skillsAble to model professional behaviour at all times with a positive attitude and willingness to assistDisplay a can-do attitude, exercise initiative, and work both independently and co-operatively as required within a team environmentBe able to work a rotating roster including nights and weekendsMandatory Requirements Current QLD Drivers Licence
