Working for our Client based in Sydney, your previous experiences as a Financial Accountant will be crucial for the development of the Finance Business Unit.
You will be part of a young team that prioritises development and career progression.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
An initial 6 month contract.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be supporting the Finance Business Unit in the form of accurate, timely, compliant and transparent financial information and analysis.
DUTIES.
* Prepare annual Council financial statements * Liaise with Audit to finalise and publish statements * Complete a range of accounting tasks including: month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, and more * Coordinate the stores & inventories subsidiary ledger * Maintain and update relevant systems databases SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or relevant * Experience working in Local Council (desirable) * Minimum three years' experience in similar role * Accountable and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines CULTURE.
