We have a great opportunity for an experienced trade professional looking to step up into a Leading Hand position at our Cairns - Kenny Street Workshop
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working a 9 day fortnight or a 4-day work week (38 hours per week) As a Leading Hand, you will:
Provide active leadership to employees to improve performanceTrain and develop others including coaching and mentoringPlan work to the highest efficiencyMonitor jobs for quality and efficiency, providing guidance and ensuring work orders are correctEnsure tradespersons have work completed by the agreed dateProvide guidance and expertise when requiredProactively identify job quality and efficiency risksReport defects and unsatisfactory practices to help promote continuous improvementEnsure adverse environmental impacts are identified and sustainability measures implemented as per Company policies and proceduresEnsure apprentices obtain every opportunity to achieve competencies in an acceptable timeframe via on-the-job trainingWhy Hastings Deering?
