Brisbane based - Category Manager - Retail - Supermarket - PharmacySPAR Australia - is a prominent supermarket distributor within the retail / FMCG industry located in Acacia Ridge.
(you need to live in Brisbane) They have experienced growth and are embarking on a new direction as they have moved into a state-of-the-art new warehouse and office and are strategically looking at the next 5-10 years.
So this is an exciting time to join as they have a very exciting Category Manager role available
The successful applicant will be responsible for the achievement of key financial KPI's, negotiating and growing trade partner relationships, sourcing and development of the category products as well as delivering strategic initiatives in line with company objectives.
Responsibilities:Manage supplier relationships to achieve mutual business goals.Maximise range that provides a competitive edge within the market.Manage and implement promotional strategies with suppliers that communicate the benefits of the retailer.Manage and optimise profitability through inventory management, supplier negotiations, product development and sourcing strategies.Identify opportunities across the business for additional profit and sales contribution.Maximise long-term supply agreements for lowest cost of doing business.Ensure implementation of company policies, code of conduct and ethics.Skills & Experience:Knowledge of the retail market to identify opportunities for product development via Category Management principles.
