The Opportunity:We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Sydney team of approximately 40 based in our CBD office located very close to multiple transport modes.
This role provides an opportunity to join our high-performing team and work with other Engineers including Senior and Principal Engineers who are leaders in their areas of expertise.
Our ideal candidate would have 5 to 10 years' local experience in consulting structural engineering, be comfortable in both technical and external design team facing project roles, with motivation to support a growing team.
We may also consider alternative arrangements including more years of experience and a part-time or casual role.
We have a very good, growing, and varied pipeline of work including multi-storey residential, commercial, education, health, and industrial projects.
About the role:You will be responsible for:
Undertaking building structural engineering design from concept to detailedUndertaking site visits during the design and construction phasesCompleting condition assessment and reporting on building structuresMaintaining client relationships on the projects you work onMentoring and reviewing designs undertaken by our junior engineersYou will be working towards (or have already commenced):
Leading projects and preparing fee proposalsMaintaining an awareness of innovations and changes to regulations in the industryIdentifying and assessing project risks and communicating these to the teamAbout You:To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Approximately 5-10 years of relevant local consulting industry experienceExperience working and coordinating with external design team members and clientsHigh proficiency with design software including Spacegass, RAPT, RAM Concept, RCB, ETABS, and WALLAPExperience and high proficiency undertaking the detailed design of post-tensioned floor slabs using RAM ConceptThe ability to mentor more junior engineers especially in the use of RAM ConceptThis is the ideal position for someone who is committed and passionate about furthering their career and would like to join a high-performing team who are recognised for technical excellence, finding creative and progressive ways to deliver value for our clients, and putting a values-based human touch into crafting solutions that have wide-reaching impact.
