Job description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Engineering to lead the development and expansion of our clients AI-driven FinTech platform. As the Head of Engineering, you will drive technical strategy, foster innovation, and ensure the scalability, stability, and performance of their platform as they grow globally.
*Successful candidate must be based in Melbourne*
About the role:
Architect, design, and implement distributed systems capable of handling large-scale data and ensuring high availability.
Lead the technical roadmap for scaling platforms and engineering teams during rapid growth phases.
Build and lead a high-performing, geographically diverse engineering team across regions.
About you:
3+ years experience working in a "Head of" capacity.
Proven experience in leading and scaling engineering teams and platforms, particularly during periods of rapid growth.
Extensive experience with distributed systems architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems.
Strong background in cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes, Docker), with expertise in performance optimization, fault tolerance, and high availability.
Experience managing geographically distributed teams, fostering collaboration across diverse locations.
