Georges River Grammar School is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Academic Adviser to assist enhancing students' study skills and practices, with a focus on academic writing across the Secondary School.

About the role
Reporting to the Director of Senior Study Centre (Academic Culture), Academic Advisers are responsible for providing the best possible education for the students within the Senior Learning Centre.
Working predominantly with Year 11 and 12 students, the position calls for a caring and approachable person who can encourage, develop, and nurture the growth of students in their care.

This position is open to accredited NSW Teachers and/or applicants with tertiary academic experience.

A proactive 'team player' with the ability to work collaboratively with students and staff A passionate, enthusiastic individual able to motivate students and staff Recognition of the importance of personal reflection and lifelong learning Exceptional communicator with high level interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously with a demonstrable capacity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders Ability to prioritise work schedules by being self-directed and motivated Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to perform all tasks with attention to detail.
